The Department of Informatics Engineering Education (PTI) once again held an online workshop for a series of PTI Go-International Independent Campus Work Programs (PKKM). Activities that will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, will be held virtually. In this workshop, the committee carried the theme “Integration CPI: Opportunity and Chance in Culinary Local Savor for Improving the Instructional Quality in HEI”. This workshop invited many experienced resource persons in their fields, so that the workshop participants could develop soft skills and obtain useful information through this activity. The invited speakers are:
The first resource person, Prof. Dr. Mochammad Bruri Triyono, M.Pd with Material: Concept Implementation of PjBL Through Instructional in HEI, the second resource person Dr. Gede Ariadi, S.Kom., MBA with Material: Integration CPI: Information System Project in Learning Activity, Rita Fransina Marvanaya, S.Pd., M.Sc as the third resource person with Material: Developing Technique PjBL Through Lesson Plan and the fourth speaker Dj Chef Wisnu by presenting Material: Integration CPI: Opportunity and Chance in Culinary Local Savor for Improving the Instructional Quality in HEI
This workshop was attended by more than 98 participants consisting of students from the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational School and participants from the general public. It was opened by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational, Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, M.Pd., and moderated by Mrs. , Dr. I Ketut Agustini, S.Si., M.Si as Deputy Dean 1 of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational as well as chairman of the committee at PTI PKKM activities. The second moderator in this workshop is Mrs. Dr.phil. Dessy Seri Wahyuni, S.Kom., M.Eng.
The essence of this workshop is still related to Project Based-Learning in its implementation in the teaching and learning process in universities and innovation in developing business opportunities in the community. Prof. Dr. Mochammad Bruri Triyono, M.Pd in ??the material Concept Implementation of PjBL Through Instructional in HEI, He conveyed the benefits that students get when they get project-based learning are being motivated to find new findings and updates from previous findings, helping to develop social skills such as communication, collaboration, and work together in teams. Therefore, he also added that another benefit that can be obtained is that students are more prepared to enter the workforce easily.
Mrs. Rita Fransina Marvanaya, S.Pd., M.Sc in her presentatin also conveyed several steps that can be used to design a coherent PjBL learning design, starting with discussion to group presentations. In relation to the informatics engineering study program, Dr. Gede Ariadi, S.Kom., MBA said that PjBL effectively trains students’ technical skills through: Programming Languages, GUI Design, Data Bases, Reusable Code, Source Control, Internship, Certification
The last material was presented by Dj Chef Wisnu, who is the only resource person in the culinary field. In the material presented, he mentioned the PjBL relationship that provides benefits in the form of being able to stimulate students to find new findings and apply them in line with our tips in starting a business in social life. Dj Chef Wisnu said that there are six basic skills in starting a business, namely: courage, exploring crazy and unusual ideas but must be conceptualized (continuous innovation), expertise / knowledge, business plan / strategic business analyst, networking (relationships) and a solid team
The workshop ended with a question and answer session between participants and resource persons. The implementation of this workshop is expected to be able to improve the quality of education in the higher education sector in general and the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program in particular.
