The Senate meeting was chaired by the Chair of the Faculty Senate (Kadek Yota Ernanda Aryanto, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D.) and the Senate Secretary (Dr. Ni Ketut Widiartini, S.Pd., M.Pd). This Engineering and Vocational Faculty Senate meeting was held in the framework of the Assessment and Consideration of Candidates for Dean of the Engineering and Vocational Faculty for the 2019-2023 period. The meeting agenda begins with presenting the Vision, Mission, and Work Program of each prospective candidate before the FTK Senate, lecturer representatives, employee representatives, faculty BEM and HMJ. Considerations for Candidates for Dean of the Technical and Vocational Faculty for the 2019-2023 period were attended by two prospective candidates, namely Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd, M.Pd (Incumbent) and Dr. Komang Setemen, S.Si., M.T.
The vision promoted by Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, M.Pd is “Creating an Excellent Technical and Vocational Faculty Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy Through Strengthening Competencies and the Role of Human Resources Towards Internationalization”. Meanwhile, the vision promoted by Dr. Komang Setemen, S.Sc., M.T. is “Creating a Superior Faculty in Technology and Vocational Fields Based on Innovation Products”.
After presenting the vision, mission, and work program of each prospective candidate, the FTK senate then considers it to determine the selected dean candidate by the Ganesha Education University Chancellor’s Regulation Number 03 of 2019 concerning Procedures for Appointing and Dismissing Deans. Referring to the regulations in Chapter III Article 7 Point (1) letter j, the assessment and selection of dean candidates is carried out by deliberation and consensus. After deliberation to reach a consensus, the senate agreed to elect and appoint Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, M.Pd. as elected dean candidate for the 2019-2023 period.
