(3/10) The Engineering and Vocational Faculty carried out 2023 FTK Socialization and Webinar activities with the theme of building Human Resources through Strengthening Technology, Vocational Education, and DUDI, activities which were attended by the entire Undiksha FTK community in the online UPT ICT Vicon room.
This activity began with a report from the chairman of the committee (Agus Aan Jiwa Permana, S.Kom., M.Cs.) in his report stating that FTK Undiksha had invited and informed vocational/high school schools in Bali, NTB, and NTT and Timor. Leste. This socialization and webinar was opened by the Dean of FTK as well as a resource person (Prof. Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd.), followed by showing the Undiksha FTK Profile video to get to know more about the Departments and Study Programs in the Engineering and Vocational Faculty Ganesha University of Education. FTK’s first webinar Prof.Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd as Narasumeber took the theme “Building Human Resources through Strengthening Technology, Vocational Education and Partnership with the World of Work.” The Dean of FTK said that vocational education is a type of education that involves learning practical skills that are directly related to the working world. The main aim of vocational education is to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to work in various industrial fields. Vocational education also helps increase the productivity and competitiveness of a country in the industrial world. Vocational education prepares students with skills that are relevant and needed in the world of work so that they can meet the needs of industry and help improve the economy. Finally, Sudirtha said that there is still a negative stigma associated with vocational education, where some people think that vocational education is only suitable for them. who cannot continue higher education? In fact, vocational education can be the right choice for anyone who wants to find a job that requires practical skills and expertise in a particular field.
The second resource person was a lecturer in Informatics Engineering Education (I Ketut Andika Pradnyana, S.Pd., M.Pd.) with the theme “Strategy for Strengthening Skills and Mastery of Technology in Vocational Education.” Andika conveyed that an educator’s Technology Mastery needs to study and follow existing technological developments nowadays, including Elearing, AR/VR, Animation, Canva, and QUIZIZZ. The activity continued with an answer session for the students present, and then an introduction to the Informatics Engineering Department by the Head of the Department (Dr. Luh Joni Erawati Dewi, S.T., M.Pd.) and the Industrial Technology Department by the Head of the Department (Dr. Kadek Rihendra Dantes, S.T., M.T.) followed by an introduction to the study programs at FTK Undiksha by the respective Study Program Coordinators.
