In order to improve students’ competence, both academic and non-academic, it is necessary to be encouraged and fostered to choose the kind of activities facilitated by the campus following the competencies possessed. This effort is directed at building superior human resources that are highly competitive, and the work-readiness of graduates is one of UNDIKSHA’s current focuses.
In line with this goal, PKKM PTI or Program Kerja Kampus Merdeka Pendidikan Teknik Informasi (Independent Campus Work Programme of Informatics Technic Education) organizes activities to improve the quality of graduates and students’ national achievements through Bootcamps. This activity targets four different types of competencies, namely robotics, 3-dimensional animation, games, and software engineering.
This Bootcamp activity collaborates with five industrial partners according to their fields, namely NPC Lab for robotics Bootcamp activities, Bamboomedia for 3-dimensional animation boot camp activities, Devata Game Production for game development Bootcamp activities, Red System for RPL Manufacturing boot camp activities, and Ganeshcom for Best Practice RPL boot camp activities. The activity was carried out in parallel for each type of boot camp from August to November 2021, attended by students and alumni with 110 participants, and was dominated by the FTK or Fakultas Teknik dan Kejuruan (Faculty of Engineering and Vocational). During the activity, participants are trained to create products to train participants competencies. At the end of the activity, participants displayed products that had been produced and were given certificates by industrial partners as a sign that they had competence in their respective fields.
