Innovillage 2021 is a digital technology competition for social entrepreneurs (socio-preneurship). InnoVillage 2021 with the theme Empowering Young Sociopreneur for Sustainable Digital Village, organized by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk in collaboration with Telkom University, the Indonesian Chancellor Forum, APERTI BUMN, and the Indonesia Career Center Network (ICCN).

This time, InnoVillage was attended by students from all universities in Indonesia. Students interested in participating in this competition must register and submit a project proposal first. After the selection, 120 digital innovation works will be obtained, which will receive funding from Telkom and subsequently be realized as solutions for the community. The innovations from this competition are targeted to be applicable and oriented towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to bring many benefits to society, the economy, and the environment.

UNDIKSHA or Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Ganesha University of Education) has successfully passed the Top 120 of the Innovillage 2021 competition with nine teams that qualified for funding, one of which is the GO-SUBAK Team. The Assistant Lecturer for the Go-Subak Team is Mr. I Gusti Lanang Agung Raditya Putra, S.Pd., M.T. The Go-Subak team consisted of the students from Information Systems Study Programme, namely Ni Putu Ari Wahyuni as Team Leader, Ni Putu Anisa Marta Widyasari as Member 1, and I Gede Wahyu Rudiartha as Member 2.

Go-Subak is an IOT system that can help measure paddy fields’ pH and soil moisture in Jatiluwih Village. With existing technological advances, the Go-Subak system will utilize a soil moisture sensor to determine the soil pH in farmers’ rice fields and simultaneously be integrated or connected to the Go-Subak website.

The Go-Subak is a website-based design in which the website functions to provide information or record data based on the results of pH checks sent by IoT tools. In addition, the system will provide information regarding the scheduling of rice fertilization so that the fertilization schedule can be carried out regularly according to the type of rice planted by farmers in each paddy field in the Subak (a traditional ecologically sustainable irrigation system that binds Balinese agrarian) of Jatiluwih village.

The Go-Subak system aims to create new infrastructure, industry, and innovations in the future that can alleviate and overcome the problems experienced by farmers in Jatiluwih Village, especially in facilitating fast and practical soil pH measurements.

The implementation of the Go-Subak system in Jatiluwih Village is expected to make it easier for farmers to measure soil pH and soil moisture. In addition, it is also to prepare millennial farmers by using advances in information technology.
