Singajara, October 27, 2025 — The Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies (FTK) of Ganesha University of Education (UGIP) once again demonstrated its commitment to expanding its national research network through a collaborative activity with the Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani) Samarinda. The event took place on Monday, October 27, 2025, in the West IKI Room, Building E, FTK Undiksha.

The meeting, held as part of the 2025 Impactful Leading Consortium Research Program, served as a strategic platform to strengthen research synergy between vocational and educational higher education institutions. Through this program, both institutions strive to produce collaborative research that is not only academically superior but also relevant and has a real impact on society and the development of applied science.

The event opened with remarks from the leadership of the Faculty of Medicine, Undiksha (Undiksha Faculty of Medicine), who emphasized the importance of cross-institutional collaboration to enhance national research capacity, particularly in the fields of engineering, vocational education, and appropriate technology development. Representatives from Politani Samarinda also expressed their appreciation for the collaborative space provided and their institutions’ readiness to develop sustainable joint research.

In the discussion session, both parties presented their respective research roadmaps and aligned them with the consortium’s research agenda. Some emerging research focuses included innovation in applied agricultural technology, strengthening software engineering for the agro-industrial sector, developing renewable energy, and technology-based community empowerment models.

Through the signing of a technical work agreement, this activity affirmed a shared commitment to realizing superior research outputs such as reputable publications, innovative prototypes, implementable research results, and technology-based community service models that can be applied across Indonesia.

The activity concluded with an affirmation that this collaboration will be the first step towards a stronger and more productive research consortium. Both Politani Samarinda and Undiksha are optimistic that this partnership will produce research with a broad impact on society, industry, and the advancement of vocational education in Indonesia.

With this collaboration, Undiksha’s Faculty of Medicine (FTK) continues to demonstrate its role as a center for innovation and research development that is open, collaborative, and oriented toward utility.
