The pandemic that is still infecting the world until now has not dampened the enthusiasm of Informatics Engineering Education academics to improve the quality and quality of study programs. On Monday, July 19, 2021, an online workshop was held with the theme “Implementation Problem-Based Learning in Instructional Design and Integrated Contextual Problems in Industry to Instructional Content”.
The activities were carried out under the coordinator of the Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational, Dr. I Ketut Agustini, S.Si., M.Sc. where in this case the role as PKKM Coordinator for Informatics Engineering Education is held in order to carry out the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) in activities to improve the quality of learning with international standards through PTI Go International. In his speech, he also explained several PKKM PTI programs, namely:
- PTI Bootcamp
- PTI Mobility with Partnership
- Excellent PTI
- PTI Go International
- PTI Works
Workshop activities were officially welcomed and opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational, Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, M.Pd. , “It is hoped that there will be meanings or things that can be continued, especially how we improve learning and learning content along with meaningful activity-based activities”, -Dean of FTK Undiksha.
The event continued with the presentation of material by three speakers. The three resource persons who were invited to participate in this workshop were academics from the Ganesha University of Education, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Santiasa, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Padmadewi, M.A., along with practitioner resource persons from PT. In the eyes of IT Solutions, I Ketut Kartika Tanjana. “The art of an educator is the art of organizing learning activities based on what students need (students’ needs) and the problems they experience related to learning (problems)”, – Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Padmadewi, M.A.
By holding this workshop, it is hoped that educators in the Informatics Engineering Education environment, in particular and Undiksha in general, can implement Problem Based Learning as a solution and a way to improve the quality and quality of the teaching and learning process between lecturers and students.
