Based on OTK(Organisasi dan Tata Kerja-Organization and Working Procedure) UNDIKSHA Ministerial regulations. No. 29 of 2007 and Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 66 of 2010 concerning Management and Implementation of Education, the organizational structure consists of:
- Elements of leadership: Dean and Deputy Dean
- Faculty Senate
- Academic Executive elements: departments, laboratories, and lecturer groups
- Administrative Executive elements of the administration management
The duties and functions of each component are as follows.
- Leadership Elements
- The Dean is the head of the Faculty and is responsible to the Rector.
- In conducting their duties, the Dean is assisted by Deputy Deans I, II, and III.
The Dean’s duties are:
- Coordinate the implementation of education, research, and community service at the faculty level;
- Coordinate the implementation of the quality assurance system at the faculty level;
- Conduct coaching and supervision of lecturers, staff, and students;
- Develop faculty strategic plans;
- Prepare program activities and faculty annual budget plans;
- Conduct supervision of all program activities of the Faculty; and
- Prepare the annual accountability report of the Faculty to the Faculty Senate and the Chancellor.
Duties of Deputy Dean II
- Responsible for housekeeping programme and faculty budget;
- Prepare work programmes and faculty budget allocations;
- Coordinate with Deputy Deans I and III in the context of preparing programmes and budgets;
- Coordinate activities in the field of personnel;
- Coordinate the development and supervision of faculty facilities and infrastructure; and
- Prepare reports in the field of finance and general administration.
Duties of Deputy Dean III
- Responsible for the preparation and implementation of student affairs programs;
- Elaborating on the policy of related faculty programs in the activities of student organizations and other student activities contained in the operational plan of the Faculty;
- Provide directions and instructions in the context of implementing student organizations activities and other student activities at the Faculty;
- Supervise and control the implementation of student activity programs.
- Coordinate with Deputy Dean I and Deputy Dean II to prepare programmes for student activities.
- Evaluating the implementation of student activities to determine whether or not the objectives of the faculty program have been achieved;
- Prepare and submit reports on the results of the student program implementation evaluation to the Dean as the person in charge of the program;
- Accountable for the use of the faculty-student activity budget; and
- Make a student field report.
The selection system for faculty leaders (Dean and Deputy Dean) is conducted according to applicable regulations. The selection of faculty leaders is carried out through a special senate meeting.
Faculty Senate
Members of the senate consist of professors, deans, assistant deans, heads of departments, and lecturers representing departments.
The duties of the senate are:
- Make a student field report.
- Formulate academic and development policies;
- Formulate a policy on the assessment of academic achievement and the development of skills and personality of the academic community;
- Formulate norms and benchmarks for the implementation of faculty activities;
- Approve the Faculty’s revenue and expenditure budget plan;
- Assessing the accountability of the Dean for the implementation of the policies that have been determined;
- Formulate regulations for implementing academic freedom, freedom of the academic pulpit, and scientific autonomy on;
- Consider the organizers regarding the candidates proposed to be appointed as Deans and lecturers nominated to hold academic positions above the Lector;
- Enforcing norms that apply to the academic community;
- Academic Executive Element
Academic executive elements consist of: departments, laboratories, and lecturers. The department is led by a chairperson and assisted by a secretary. The department head is in charge of coordinating the implementation of education in the department and is responsible to the Dean. The secretary is in charge of assisting the head of the department in the administration of departmental activities. The laboratory head is in charge of assisting the head of the department in laboratory management.
- Elements of the administrative executor of the administrative section
The administrative executor of the administrative division consists of the student, financial, academic, and equipment sub-sections. The administration head leads this administrative division, and a subdivision head heads each section under it.
