Badung-In order to conduct EJC (Economic Journalist Competition), computer science students collaborated with informatics management students to participate in the citizen journalism video competition. The team consisted of Kadek Andhika Apriadi Ary Sanjaya Putra, Gusti Ngurah Komang Hendri Guna Arisnawan, Ni Made Ayu Ekayanti.

The competition activity was on Sunday, October 13, 2019. EJC was conducted by the Media Economics Student Press Institute, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Udayana. Located in the Extension Building, room III.4, Faculty of Economics. The competition started at 07.00-18.00 WITA. The first session is used for the presentation of video results. It took place from 07.00 WITA to 12.00 WITA. After that, the activities are arranged in such a way as to recap values, games, and fun events. The winner announcement was conducted in the hall of the doctoral building on the 4th floor.

17 participants took part in this activity. Four of them were disqualified because they did not submit video files to the committee. In the EJC activity, the competition’s theme was “creative economy in the millennial era”. The video succeeded in bringing Hendri et al. to win first place. Followed by SMA N 2 Semarapura and SMA 1 Gianyar. As for the favorite winner, STMIK STIKOM Indonesia won.

From the interviews conducted, Hendri et al. said that the followed competition was very memorable. However, some suggestions were given for the competition. Hendri said that laptops and projectors are expected to support 4k so that the image quality does not decrease. In addition, it is hoped that the draw system for the competition does not use attendance.(wah)
