Students of the Engineering and Vocational Faculty of Ganesha Education University won another gold medal at the 2023 Gemastik event, Universitas Brawijaya Malang was trusted again as the organizer of this activity. From 12 to 16 September 2023, FTK passed two teams as finalists from 179 participants who were filtered into 21 teams in each division contested. The FTK teams that passed were in Division VIII: Software Development through the Hawk Team and Division Team, a Team consisting of Gede Yuda Aditya, Ni Wayan Anik Puspita Sari, and I Ketut Adi Krisna Murti Saksena.
Gemastik or National Student Performance in the Field of Information and Communication Technology, is a program of the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. This performance was held together with one of the universities appointed by the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology as the organizer. From year to year, the level of competition within Gemastik continues to increase.
As Supervisor of the Hawk Team (Dr. I Made Gede Sunarya, S.Kom., M.Cs.) expressed his pride and gratitude for his students’ victory so that they could win a gold medal in this prestigious event. Before the departure of the Gemastik Team to Malang, the Vice Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Sudiana expressed her appreciation for the team’s contribution and motivation to participate in this prestigious competition. “We at the leadership certainly really appreciate the awareness of this team to take part in this competition. “The same goes for the faculty and accompanying lecturers,” he said. It is hoped that this team will be able to show its best quality and get results according to expectations. Through this opportunity, it was also emphasized that participating in competitions is not just about achievement. However, it is a space for students to measure their own competence and become motivated to improve their quality. “I hope that in the future more Undiksha students will be able to take part in Gemastik and other competitions,” he concluded.
