Students of Informatics Engineering Education, FTK or Fakultas Teknik dan Kejuruan (Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Education), UNDIKSHA made another achievement at the E-NNOVATE 2021 INTERNATIONAL INVENTION & INNOVATION SHOW POLAND event. This event was conducted from June 22, 2021, to June 24, 2021, online through the Google meet Platform. This event was attended by 16 countries in Europe and Asia with 183 participants, both teams and individuals.
Student on behalf of Putu Zasya Eka Satya Nugraha succeeded in making UNDIKSHA proud by winning a Gold Medal in the Appropriate Technology category. There are four other members of the UNDIKSHA team on behalf of Rohmat Romadhan (Educational Technology), I Gede Deva Anggara Putra Kasadi (Electrical Engineering Education), Devy Arista Ciptamiari (Management), and Kadek Reda Setiawan (Electrical Engineering Education Alumni), Zasya successfully show “ELIT” Electrical Lighting Installation Trainer.
Zasya emphasized that ELIT is an integrated learning media for Electrical Engineering students. Learning media consists of several components needed in lighting installations, namely: 1) Lamp Fitting, 2) PIR Sensor, 3) Incandescent Lamp, 4) LED Bulb, 5) Power Socket, 6) Voltage Meter, 7) Ampere Meter, 8) Switches. Its integrated and compact form makes it easy to carry anywhere. The electrical schematic is also clearly illustrated on the acrylic board. We also provide a manual for using this learning media. The things behind creating this learning media are: 1) Students rarely practice because electrical components are often damaged or lost, 2) Electrical components have been modular in nature. This is what causes point one to occur. So that we need integrated learning media that are reused, 3) Students’ interest in learning is decreasing because learning focuses on theory. So we need an innovation in learning media that can inspire the enthusiasm of students to learn.
The preparations that went through lasted for one and a half months. Starting from the preparation of abstracts, video inventions, innovation posters, company posters, and invention posters. “We are very grateful for what we have achieved so far. We get a great opportunity by participating in international events. This is also our learning process in communicating ideas to foreigners,” said Zasya.
