FTK (Faculty of Engineering and Vocational) is one of the faculties of nine faculties (eight Faculties and a Postgraduate) under the auspices of the Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (UNDIKSHA), where the establishment of FTK cannot be separated from the history of UNDIKSHA’s establishment. UNDIKSHA’s history began with Course B-1 to provide Indonesian Language Teachers in 1955 and Commerce Teachers in 1957 for the high school level. In 1962 the two types of courses were merged into the FKIP (Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan-Faculty of Teacher Training and Education) of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). In the same year, FKIP merged with Universitas Udayana (UNUD) and, in 1963, became part of the IKIP (Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan – Institute of Teacher Training and Education) Malang in Singaraja. In 1968, FKIP became two faculties, the Fkg (Fakultas Keguruan-Faculty of Teaching) and FIP (Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan-Faculty of Education), and back to be part of UNUD. In 1981, FKg and FIP were merged into FKIP of UNUD. In 1993, FKIP separated from UNUD to become STKIP (Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan-Higher Education of Teacher Training and Education) Singaraja, and in 2001 it became IKIP of Singaraja. The two types of courses took a long process and eventually became UNDIKSHA after IKIP Singaraja changed its status to UNDIKSHA by Presidential Regulation number: 11/2006, dated May 11, 2006. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance number: 505/KMK05/2015 dated May 6, 2015, UNDIKSHA was designated as a government agency that implements PK-BLU (Pengelola Keuangan Badan Layanan Umum-the Public Service Agency Financial Management).
